What you should know about EDM Guides...

Precision Electronic Discharge Machining depends very heavily upon the performance of the wire guides used to position the cutting action of the equipment. Since EDM works only with materials that are electrically conductive it makes sense that wire guides that are themselves made from conductive material will wear faster and require alignment and or replacement more often.
EDM Wire Guides designed and manufactured by Tru-Guide provide longer lasting and more precise cutting performance because the guiding surface is made from non-conductive silicone nitride.

For challenging pre-hardened metal EDM applications with odd shaped angles, small holes and or intricate contours where holding precise tolerances makes a difference, non-conductive wire guides deliver. Tru-Guides, non conductive guiding surfaces provide longer life and better tolerance holding capability than is available with the traditional conductive material wire guides.
Tru-Guide has standard non-conductive wire guides for the most common EDM applications and regularly custom designs wire guides for specific applications.
